Description
McChord Air Force Base (AFB) intends to establish a Fixed Price Reqirement Type contract for Recycling Services. Period of performance will be a base period with four option periods. Contractor shall perform recycling services tasks to include collecting, processing and marketing all commodities deemed recyclable on McChord AFB. The contractor shall operate the base recycling center to include routine equipment maintenance for the Government Furnished Equipments (GFE), record keeping and education/training of base personnel. The contractor shall perform to the standard in the contract as well as applicable local, state and federal regulations. The acquisition will be accomplished as a Commercial Item in accordance with FAR 12, Utilizing Commercial Acquisition Procedures and FAR 15, Contracting by Negotiations. In conformance with FAR 19-1300, this acquisition is being considered for a HUBZone set-aside. If your firm is HUBZone certified and intend to propose on this acquisition, please provide the following information to the Contracting Officer not later than 10 days after the publication of this Notice: 1) Name of company, 2) Address, 3) Phone & FAX number, 4) E-mail address. Base on the responses, the Contracting Officer will make a determination whether or not to make this a HUBZone set-aside. If there is not a reasonable expectation of adequate competition as a HUBZone set-aside, the acquisition will be considered for 100% small business set-aside. Offers will be evaluated utilizing Best Value Procedures. The solicitation package will be issued on or about 1 July 05. The applicable Standard Industry Classification (SIC) is 4953, the Small Business size standard is $6 million annual average gross revenue for the last three years and NAICS codes: 562212, 562213, 562219 or 562920. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation and all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading EXCLUSIVELY on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) site at www.eps.gov. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (13-JUN-2005).
