Description

The U.S. Department of Education (ED) intends to award a purchase order to procure services for analysis and technical assistance to tribal education departments (TEDs). This procurement is not to exceed twelve months. The Office of the Under Secretary is responsible for the administration and oversight of programs designed to improve the educational opportunities of America?s school age population, ages five through seventeen. The Office of Indian Education is responsible for implementing Title VII of the No Child Left Behind act which focuses on the education of American Indians and Alaskan Natives from preschool to graduate school. The specific purpose of this procurement is for the contractor to assist OIE in coordinating its efforts and program initiatives with the tribal education departments throughout the nation and the Departments efforts to work with Indian communities and improve communication on implementation of the No Child Left Behind. This purchase order is intended as a sole source award to be made to the Native American Rights Fund in Boulder, Colorado. However, all responsible sources may request a copy of the statement of work and submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the department. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. POINT OF CONTACT: JEFFREY D.
