Description
SAP074-000HTBD2-2005-23834 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Environmental Health/Agency for Toxic Substances is seeking a qualified vendor with the required technical skill and resources to design, develop and instruct a custom writing course for its staff members. The writing courses will be focused on instructing scientist and technicians of various disciplines to first articulate and then document scientific correspondence and research in a clear, logical and grammatically correct format that is worthy of publication. The vendor will be required to schedule and instruct two separate writing courses within the defined period of performance. Each course will consist of four, two-hour modules for 16 total hours of instruction time. The vendor will provide study materials that promote the participant?s skills and performance after completing the writing course. Study materials, at a minimum, should include electronic or hard copy performance aids, such as tutorials, schematics or check-lists, as well as, ?how-to? guides. The vendor will be responsible for the following: 1.) defining / creating the course curriculum; 2.) providing all study materials; 3.) designing a prototype/ pilot-test course; 4.) revise the curriculum and study materials following a review of the pilot-test course by the Agency?s management staff; 5.) pre- testing and post- testing of each participant; and 6.) facilitate course / instructor evaluation forms to be completed by each participant. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a Purchase Order (PO) utilizing simplified acquisition procedures. Therefore, the initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a technical and price standpoint. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 611430 and the Size Standard is NTE 500 employees. This requirement is a small business set-aside. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the services in this synopsis should submit a copy of your quotation. The quotation shall include the itemized price, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the services quoted. The quotation must reference Solicitation number 2005-Q-08133. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or September 1, 2005, by 5:00 PM local time. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2920 Brandywine Road MS K70, Atlanta, GA 30341, Attention: Russell T. Oxford. Email quotations will only be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative to: roxford@cdc.gov. This action is pursuant to 41 USC 253(1) and under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The requirement will be procured as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12.102(c). Quotes will be due September 1, 2005, by 5:00 PM EST at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Procurement and Grants Office; Attn: Russell T. Oxford; 2920 Brandywine Road, Room 3637, Atlanta, GA 30341. Facsimile quotes will be accepted at 770-488-2670. RFQ# 2005-Q-08133. Attn: Russell T. Oxford, shall be clearly marked on the email subject line, envelope and/or facsimile cover page. All responsible sources that can meet the above requirement may submit a quote, which will be considered by the Agency. The Central Contracting Registry is a central repository of all Contractors who wish to do business with the Federal Government. All vendors who wish to bid on the requirement MUST be registered and validated in the CCR prior to award of this Simplified Acquisition. Vendor who submit a quotation are showing that they are registered or plan to do so. Vendors who are not registered will not be considered for award.
