Description
The Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/VS) is contemplating issuing a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) VS-05-07 to rapidly deliver technical solutions to user emergencies. This Draft BAA is being issued for planning purposes in accordance with FAR 52.215-3 and for the purpose of gathering information to develop a strategy to increase the effectiveness of the Innovate Solutions to Urgent Needs process. Your response to this notice will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Draft BAA or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in FAR 31.205-18, Bid and Proposal Costs. Synopsis is as follows: The primary objective of this BAA is to institute a core process to rapidly deliver technical solutions to user emergencies. This new process, called innovate Solutions to Urgent Needs, or iSUN, will strengthen and streamline AFRL?s application of new and existing technology to solve urgent problems encountered by military operators. The vision of this process is to be the best technical innovator for the Air Force and other Warfighters. Our mission is to reshape today?s battles in the air, in space, and in the cyber domain by rapidly providing innovative new capabilities based on any knowledge or technology. This process requires unparalleled diversity of expertise and knowledge concurrent with the ability to rapidly form and empower teams, plus the ability to agilely and rapidly develop and test innovative and creative prototype solutions.
