Description
The VA Illiana Health Care System, 1900 East Main Street, Danville, IL 61832 has a construction requirement for Condensate Piping Repairs, Phase II. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including furnish all tools, equipment, labor, materials, and necessary supervision to install new condensate return piping between Building 64/72 and Building 100 and install new low pressure boilers in Building 14, Building 48, and Building 22/69 as required by project drawings and specifications. All work will be in strict compliance with all applicable codes and VA regulations. This will be a firm fixed price contract. The NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code is 238220. The small business size standard is $12M. The completion time for this project is 120 calendar days. However, the installation of the new condensate return piping between Bldg. 64/72 and Bldg. 100 MUST BE completed within 60 calendar days of receipt of the notice to proceed as stated in specification section 01010, ?General Requirements? 1.2D. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 9/9/05 at 1:00 pm local time in Building 64/72 conference room at the VA Illiana Health Care System. The estimated construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation is 100% set-aside for HUBZONE CERTIFIED SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS capable of performing the required work. Offers from other than hubzone certified small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected (see numbered note 27). All bidders will need to be registered with Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) with the applicable NAICS referenced. Note: Ensure your registration has not expired. Solicitation IFB 550-00089-05 will be available on or about 08/26/05 with a bid due date of 9/27/05 at 10:30am local time. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. Electronic solicitations may be obtained FREE at the following URL http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Drawings will be available electronically with the solicitation or can be requested in writing from the Contracting Officer. Telephone requests will not be accepted. It is recommended that bidders complete the solicitation mailing list on the web site before downloading the solicitation. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging amendments to the solicitation. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted on the referenced web site.
