Description

SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. Publication of the Fort Carson Post Guide and Maps at no cost to the government. The Contractor will agree that all costs involved with the production and distribution of the Fort Carson Post G uide and Maps will be borne by the Contractor. The Contractor shall look solely to advertising revenue to fund costs of the publications. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, labor, supplies, tools, materials, supervision and other items necessary to print and distribute to specified post locations a minimum of 25,000 copies of the yearly of each the Civilian Enterprise (CE) post guide and separate maps for Fort Carson, Colorado. U.S. Army will provide editorial staff and military or Dep artment of Army civilian employees as authorized. Each edition shall contain approximately of 52 pages of editorial text and approximately but not to exceed 60 pages of telephone directory, exclusive of advertising pages of the publisher, which will not b e integrated into the text portions of the guide, unless otherwise agreed to by the Fort Carson Public Affairs Office. This publication is subject to the requirements of DOD Instruc tion 5120.4, AR 360-1, AR 2 10-7, AR 210-10, U.S. Code 18, and the regulations and instructions incorporated therein by references and to the conditions and agreements as contained herein. This Sources Sought Synopsis is part of the Acquisition Market Research Analysis and will be used to determine the basis for any competitive aspects of the acquisition. Accordingly, each respondent is reque sted to clarify whether any teaming arrangements are contemplated (including Small an d Small Disadvantaged Business participation), subcontractors. Based upon receipt of responses and analysis, a determination will be made to ascertain the Government posi tion of sole source versus a competitive solicitation. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSION. This is a market research tool to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources. Firms responding to this announcement should indicate thei r size, particularly if they are a small business, a socially and economically disadvantaged business, a woman-owned business, a HUB zone small business concern, a minority institution, or a Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business. In addition , interested sources must respond with a complete capability/qualification package describing their technical expertise and experience in producing and distributing a post guide and map. All parties are asked to provide a telephone number, an e-mail addre ss, and a facsimile number in their response. Information marked Proprietary will be protected and will not be divulged unless mandated by existing laws. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice, nor will it reimb urse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice.
