Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propo sals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W911QX-05-R-8001. This acquisition is issued as an Request for Proposal. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in eff ect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05. The associated NAICS code is 332999. The small business size standard is 500 Employees. The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure, (including optio n(s), if applicable): CLIN 0001- Ti6AI-4V Alloy Plate Anneal, Quantity 2200 LB. CLIN 0002- Ti6AI-V4 Alloy Plate Anneal, Quantity 2200 LB. Description of requirements: CLIN 0001- MIL-TDL-46077F, Class 2, Rectangle .5000 (Tolerance-0.01+0.055) x 48.00 0(Tolerance-0.25, +0.1875). Random length 120.0-160.0. CLIN 0002- MIL-TDL-46077F, Class 2, Rectangle .375 (Tolerance-0.01+0.055) x 48.000(Tolerance-0.25, +0.1875). Random length 120.0-160.0. Delivery is required 30 days after contract award. Delivery shall be made to Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Aberdeen, MD. Acceptance shall be performed at Government site. The FOB point is destination. All shipping costs are to be included in the price of the alloy. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to this provision: None. The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items is applicable to this acquisition. The specific evaluation criteria to be included in paragraph (a) of that provision are as follows: (i) Technical  Ability of contractor to meet the military specifications, (ii) Past Performance  contractor to provide the contract number, point of contact and telephone number for three p rior contracts where they have delivered either the same or similar product, and (iii) Cost. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, and DFARS 252.212-7000, O fferor Representations and Certifications -Commercial Items, with its offer. Contractors who fail to provide completed Representations and Certifications with their offer may render their proposal as non-responsive. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to this clause NONE. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items and DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
