- Description
- This project involves a design/build contract consisting of a base bid and one option. Base Work: Includes adding a command and control room to the South Florida Management Districts existing pump station S-331; adding equipment to transmit and re ceive SCADA and security data between S-331 and existing stations S-332B, S-332C, S-332D and S-356; and installing building enclosures to provide severe weather protection and noise reduction for existing diesel engines to S-332B, S-332C, and S-356. Optio n A includes adding equipment to transmit and receive SCADA and security data to pump station S-357. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. The performance period for the project is 240 days for the desi gn phase, 270 days for the construction phase and 90 days for the option work after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be issued on or about 5 September 2005 and bid opening will be on or about 5 October 2005. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. Proposals will be evaluated on Technical, Past Performance, the Small Business Utilization Plan and Price. THIS ACQUISTION IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT being issued pursuant to the Sm all Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. There will be a price preference for identified HUBZone small business concerns that comply with the requirements of the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19.1307.
