Description

J--The Department of Navy intends to issue a Request for Quote under Solicitation N62472-05-M-8572 for Engineering, Installation, and Reconfiguration of the LENEL Intrusion Detection Ssytem at SIMS Hall, Conolly Hall, and McCarty Little Hall, Naval War College, Newport, RI. The work includes providing all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, facilities, transportation, incidental engineering, equipment, and other items necessary to bring the Lenel Security System in compliance with DCID 6/9, Conolly, McCarty, and SIMS Halls, Naval War College, Newport, RI. This is a Firm Fixed Price Simplified Acquisition, Small Purchase requirement. This RFQ will be issued as total small business set aside under NAICS Code 561621, Small business size standard is $10,500,000. The approximate solicitation release date is 24 August 2005. Prospective bidders must register for this project on the NAVFAC Electronic Solicitation Internet web site, www.esol.navfac.navy.mil to receive notification of availability of solicitation documents. The Issue Date, Bid Opening Date, and Award date stated in this notice are approximate dates. An official Bidder's Mailing List will be maintained on-line and can be printed from the web site. The Bidder's List will not be faxed. Recording companies are also required to register. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (Amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. It is therefore the Contractor's responsibility to check the above listed address daily for any posted changes to solicitation's plans and specifications. Per the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, the DOD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFAR) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database.
