- This is published as a Sole Source announcement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. See Note 22. The NAICS code for this action is 422120. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) San Diego, CA intends to award a sole source modification to contract N00244-00-D-0001 with Corporate Express. The modification will extend the contract by adding two months to the period of performance. Performance under the extension period will commence 01 October 2005. The contract provides an electronic order entry catalog of commercial items for sale to the Government. The contractor is responsible for providing commodity groups to include, but not limited to office supplies, tools hardware, restaurant supplies janitorial supplies and protective clothing. The contractor has Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capabilities for ordering and invoicing. All items are delivered next day, pier-side/desktop directly to end user. End users located at various Navy and other military faci! lities West of the Mississippi place orders (via DoD Emall, telephone, written, and fax) against the contract. Extension of the current contract's performance period is necessary as a result of a shift in the acquisition strategy and subsequent award of a follow-on contract. The proposed modification will ensure continued and/or uninterrupted contract coverage that is important to the successful accomplishment of the Navy's mission. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested parties may submit a statement of interest only. The statement of interest should address how the contractor proposes to establish a presence on DoD Emall prior to the period of contract extension.
