Description

Evacuation "Smoke Hood" : Unit must be equal to the "EVAC-U8" smoke hood that provides up to 15 minutes of protection against products of combustion, including carbon monoxide (CO). The hood must have a large opening that fits all head sizes and have flame retardant draw straps to secure the hood around the neck. Additionally it must have a valve system that prevents re-breathing of exhaled air and it must produce a positive pressure that keeps toxic gases from entering the hood. The hood must be attached to a Photoluminous disc cannister with an air purifying chemical catalytic filter that converts carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide, a desiccant that absorbs moisture, and an electrostatic charged particle filter. Total unit weight should be approximately 11 ounces and the size of the cannister unit should be 5.3" L X 2.7"in diameter. Each unit must come individually boxed with a 5 year warranty and must have an expiration date and serial number stamped on the cannister. NOTE TO VENDOR: Notify freight forwarder that delivery must be at the 17th street entrance between the hours of 8:AM and 2 PM Monday through Thursday. A lift gate truck is required for delivery due to no loading dock at drop off location.
