- Description
- The Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Space Superiority Materiel Wing intends to procure a firm-fixed price sole source contract with the Harris Corporation for the reproduction of four additional Block 10 Counter Communication Systems (CCS) plus four additional Tactical Multi-band SATCOM antennas (TMSAs) and 4 sets of modem expansion racks (8 modems each). NAICS 336419 applies to this acquisition. A Request for Proposal for this effort is tentatively scheduled to be released to Harris on or around 1 Jan 2006. The intent is to procure systems identical to the original Block 10s. While Harris is the only known company capable of providing the subject requirement, all interested parties are invited to submit a written Statement of Capability (SOC) encompassing no more than 10 pages and containing the following information: a technical description of the offeror's experience and knowledge of Air Force Space Command space control system design and production, description of facilities and equipment intended for use in support of this effort, proof of security clearances for government evaluation, and the information required by numbered note 25. Interested parties must have Department of Defense military system development/production experience, detailed knowledge of Air Force Space Command space control systems and their operations, and facilities to perform system production and testing. In addition, interested parties must be cleared to handle government equipment and information up to, and including, Top Secret ? SCI/SAR and have personnel with current TS/SSBIs as well as a Top Secret - SCI accredited SCIF. In order for SOCs to be eligible for consideration, they must be sent to SMC/SY, Attn: John Turner, 2420 Vela Way, Suite 1467 (Bldg A-5), Los Angeles AFB, CA 90245-4659 and received by 4:00 p.m. on 6 Sep 05. No contract award will be made on the basis of offers or proposals received in response to this notice.
