- AK PRA-DENA 10(15), DENALI PARK ROAD (IGLOO CANYON), Denali National Park & Preserve, Denali Borough, Alaska. THIS SOLICITATION IS OFFERED FOR FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. PRELIMINARY PLANS are in electronic format only and are provided with this synopsis. Clicking on REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION insures notification when solicitation documents are issued. THIS WORK CONSISTS OF 5.5 km of subexcavation, gabion wall installation, grading, base, culvert replacement, and drainage. THE PROJECT INCLUDES construction survey & staking; contractor quality control & assurance; contractor sampling & testing; construction schedules; monuments & markers; 1,008 m soil erosion control devices; 7,000 m3 watering for dust control; 0.4 ha clearing & grubbing; removal of 20 ea culverts; 800 m3 roadway excavation; 2,300 m3 subexcavation; 16,900 ton select borrow; 18,720 m2 geotextiles; 5,700 m2 geogrid; 214 m3 gabion walls; 1,200 m2 roadway obliteration; 1,830 m2 gabions & revet mattresses; 14,000 ton (2.3m3/t) untreated aggregate courses; Culverts: 27 ea 600mm, 1 ea 750 mm, 2 ea 1,200mm, 1 ea 1,500mm, 2 ea 1,800mm; 300m underdrains; 0.6 ha topsoil; 0.6 ha turf establishment; 15 m2 permanent traffic control devices; 400 flagger hrs; and other smaller items of work. PROJECT IS LOCATED approximately 72.5 kilometers SW of Healy, Alaska. Work shall be completed by September 15, 2006. Estimated PRICE RANGE is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOTs Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
