Description

(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government is soliciting and negotiating with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This acqui sition is set-aside for Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC, 4114 n Ravenswood Avenue, Suite 1, Chicago, IL 60613. The instrument manufactured by Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC, is the only Laboratory Accelerated Weathering Apparatus, which is ca pable of conforming to the test requirements stated in MIL-STD-818F, Section 505.4. Also Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC has the only water-cooled xenon-arc solar simulating light source, which most closely matches the spectral energy distribution ( SED) of natural sunlight as established by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE). (ii) The solicitation number is W813LT-5199-7026. This acquisition is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05. (iv) The associated NAICS code is 334519. The small business size standard is 500 employees.
