Description

DESC: 1240-01-515-8264, Part Number 13005104, The item to procure is a M138A1 Telescope Elbow made from precision cast aluminum alloy sand castings, 355 or 356 T6, impregnated prior to anodize. The part is L shaped and is approximately 13 Inches lon g x 10 inches x 3.5 inches diameter. Construction consists of eyepiece assy, eyepiece extension, housing, two cell assemblies, eye shield and cover. Requirements are for M138A1 Elbow Telescope. FOB is Destination. For use on the M198 Howitzer. Estimate d issue date is 18 August 2005. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unab le to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation is for a 5 Year Requirements contract. Estimated quantity ranges will be in the solicitation. The technical data package will be available on the WEB. There is a requirement for First Article Test. This requirement is changed from a requirements contract to an Indefinite Delivery Indefinte Quantity type contract. The guaranteed minimum quantity will be 87 Each.
