Description

THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This non-competitive procurement is in accordance with Citation 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Water Resources Division, has a requirement for a non-competitive award to Auslog Pty Ltd for "borehole sampling and digital logging equipment". This equipment has been proven to be capable of obtaining pressurized samples in copper tubes and is identical to other equipment owned by the USGS. Auslog Pty Ltd equipments unique capabilities: 1) obtain pressurized ground water samples in copper tubes and seal the copper tubes at the sampling depth which is required for age dating and for noble gas analysis for the determination of recharge temperature; 2) log and obtain 1 liter water samples from depths of up to 2400 feet; 3) obtain pressurized samples in copper tubes; 4) two-inch inner diameter casing; 5) simultaneously digitally log fluid temperature, specific conductance, and total pressure using a single probe that is less than 2 inches in diameter and can fit down 2 inch inner diameter U.S. Geological Survey monitoring wells. There is no written solicitiation for this requirement. This award will be made on or about September 9, 2005 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000.00. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 339111.
