Description

SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: The 3rd Contracting Squadron at Elmendorf AFB, AK is conducting a competitive sourcing study. This is a Sources Sought Notice for a Motor Grader to determine interest and capability. This is not a formal solicitation. Any formal solicitation will be announced separately. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME, however, the following description is provided to assist offerors in determining their interest in providing the requested services: One (1) Volvo G780B Motor Grader, ID# RG0655 equipped as follows: - 1?x 31?x 14? Moldboard - Base machine weight 43,250# - Volvo D10BGAE2 turbo charged diesel engine - 16 x 24, 12PR TL Tires 10? 3 piece wheels - 100 amp alternator - Moldboard float control - Full height ROPS cab ? all weather - Rear flood lights - 25amp, 24 to 12 volt converter - Oil pan heater - Remote lube manifold - Heavy duty belly pan - Transmission and Hydraulic oil filters - Side shift accumulators - Similar Motor Graders are acceptable. The contractor will provide all labor, parts, tools, material, delivery and pick-up, facilities, personnel, equipment, supervision, and any other items and/or services necessary to provide leased heavy construction equipment at Hemlock Bay, Annette Island, Alaska. We anticipate the contract type will be firm-fixed price, competitive, under NAICS 532412 with a size standard of $5,000,000.00. The total period of performance will be structured with six (6) months of grader usage per year with the contract period to begin March 2006 and end September 2007. Contractors are asked to submit capability statements expressing interest and intent. State your business size (average number of employees and average annual revenue).
