Description
The U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB) intends to negotiate a non-competitive indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with Comet North America, Inc., 76 Progress Drive, Stamford, CT 06902. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition that is applicable to this action is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 - only one (1) responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Agency's requirement. Comet North America designed, developed and manufacturer capacitors for a worldwide market. Comet North America is the only manufacturing firm capable of meeting the Agency's requirement for Comet Brand high-powered Vacuum Capacitors and Components. The Comet North America Comet Brand high-powered Vacuum Capacitors and Components are needed to support the transmitters within the International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB) Transmitting Station network Delivery: The IDIQ contract is for a one (1) year period with four (4) subsequent yearly renewal options. Quantity: Various Quantities (as specified on each delivery order). Delivery Terms (Options): F.O.B. Cincinnati, OH USA, Plant Domestic Packed, F.O.B. within Europe, Outside Europe, Export Packed (as specified on each delivery order). Interested sources may identify their capability to perform the above to the Contracting Officer. Sources who are interested must ensure that their submissions are received by September 9, 2005. Submissions shall be sufficient in detail to be evaluated without the need for additional documentation. This Public Notice of the BBG's intent to non-competitively contract with Comet North America, Inc. is not a RFP, IFB, or RFQ.
