Description
The purpose of this amended Notice is to respond to questions received concerning this acquisition: Question 1: I am checking with you to see if you need a separate Stand Alone Heavy Level IV plate. Or, do you need the inconjuction with plate. This means...you wear the plate with soft body armor to achieve Level IV protection. ( This is the most common ). It is also lighter. Response: These plates will be used in a Level III vest to achieve Level IV protection. Question 2: Our company is seeking clarification, on your description and requirement for rifle plates. The standard size for these plates, are 10 x 12 inches. Would that be acceptable ? Response: Yes Question 3: Also, a "rifle plate" could be defined as either Level 3 or Level 4. Which is it? In Level 3, they are available in steel or ceramic, and in Level 4, in ceramic only. Response: Level IV, lightweight ceramic. The due date is extended to August 26, 2005 at 1:00PM Mountain.
