This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The 412 TW/ENV has a requirement for a Brand Name purchase of Thor Labs HeNe Wavelength SelectableLaser, ECL5000DT benchtop tunable laser, and OS100 optics system along with all the necessary support equipment. All equipment required to be compatible and work together. The wavelength selectable HeNe selectable laser should have settings for 633nm, 612nm, 604nm, 594nm, and 543nm. The bench tunable laser must be able to be continuously tuned within the 1519nm to 1630nm range. It must have Sweep and step mode operation and be USB capable. The optics system must be able to measure focal length, MTF, contrast of 3 bar target chromatic aberration, distortion and image quality. All of the support equipment must be compatible with the aforementioned lasers. All equipment must be able to operate in the Avionics Lab in building 1609. 2. A search was made of the internet and available brochures and the items stated above best fill the requirements. Since what will be accomplished in the avionics lab is at the leading edge of technology there is no guarantee that sole source situations will not arise in the future. As in this case we will search all known sources available for the required equipment. 3. These systems are the only brand name that can satisfy the governments needs because: a.) Thor Labs provides all of the equipment that is needed and will meet the requirement that all of the items purchase will work together Interested parties who believe they can meet all the requirements for the required optics equipment described in this synopsis are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the required training requirement. Offerors are required to submit with their quote enough information for the Government to evaluate the minimum requirements detailed in this synopsis.
