Description

The presolicitation notice published under 05D82220002 on August 20, 2005 was cancelled because it produced machine errors. We are republishing the information contained in the cancelled 05D82220002 and unsuccessful modification thereof under 05SP811117 on August 22, 2005. The correct solicitation number for this acquisition is, as noted above, is 05SP811117 and will be used throughout the procurement process. The purpose of this publication is to notify all qualified sources that Reclamation has a requirement for Planning and Security Technical Assistance. The Contractor will furnish all personnel, administrative support, facilities, equipment, material, supplies, and services, necessary to ensure satisfactory performance of all work in areas of Information Technology (IT) Planning and Security. Contractor will provide support to assist government staff in the following areas: (a) IT Security Analyst support to assist in certifying and accrediting a variety of IT systems; (b) IT Enterprise Architecture support to assist in revising the IT architecture database as well as other project and activities defined by Reclamation's Enterprise Architect; (c) IT Capital Planning support to assist in capital planning and investment control activities and in coordinating IT business cases and projects; and (d) Network Architect support to assist in the assessment of network vulnerabilities, development of network security policies and procedures, security strategies and technologies. Reclamation proposes to issue a Request for Proposals 05SP811117 to acquire this work by contract no earlier than August 30, 2005. The acquisition contemplated is a 100% set aside for 8(a) concerns under North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) 541512; business size standard is $21million. An IDIQ contract is contemplated and when the RFP is issued , the solicitation and all amendments, if any, may be viewed and printed from web site http:// IDEASEC.NBC.gov under Document Number 05SP811117. All questions concerning this acquisition shall be submitted to John Collins, Contract Specialist, via e-mail at jcollins@do.usbr.usbr.gov or fax at 303/445-3558. All changes and revisions and changes to the solicitation, if any, will be (1)identified accordingly; issued as amendments to the solicitation; and (3) posted on the web site prior to the solicitation's closing date.
