Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, Boulder City, Nevada, has a requirement for uniformed security services for Reclamation Regional Office Complexes/Buildings. The contractor shall conduct a motor patrol of the all the complexes (six different locations) at the perimeter fences and building areas. The security officer shall check for any breach of the fencing and/or any unlocked gates or building doors. The contractor shall be responsible for providing equipment required to perform the motor patrol. The tour of duty consists of one visit per night each Monday through Sunday (365 days a year), staggered 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Alternate patrol route every night. The period of Performance will be from October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006, with the option to extend the term of the contract for an additional four years. This requirement is being procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is set aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 561612 and the size standard is 10.5 million dollars (average gross receipts over a three-year period). Effective October 1, 2003, prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of a contract. You may register by going to www.ccr.gov. You will need your Dun & Bradstreet number and banking information. It is anticipated that a REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) will be issued on or about August 25, 2005; however, all dates in this announcement are subject to change. The RFQ will be issued via www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov, but the Government reserves the right to issue the solicitation on paper or CD-ROM if the website becomes inoperable. A Request for Quote is being issued to facilitate submittal of quotes through electronic commerce, and to view all applicable clauses and attachments. NOTE: There will be a site visit on September 1, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., (PST) at 500 Fir St., Boulder City, Nevada. (More details will be included in the RFQ)
