Description

This is a sources sought for any item meeting the following specifications -- of which there is currently one known source: A #2 polyethylene container, cylinder in shape, measureing 11.75 inches tall and 8.2 inches in diameter and sturdy enough to be sat on when in use. It is designed to hold 1.86 gallons of human waste and has a DOT approved two way vent to release gases throught he screw down lid. The unit was originally designed with a disposable foam ring that works as a seat, but this new design/version has elimated the ring for easier cleaning. It is designed to have its contents dumped directly out and then rinsed for final cleaning. The new designe will allow this unit to be cleaned in a SCAT Machine (which is a portable toilet washer) and approved by the Alaska Public Health Consultant. The container is tested to withstand five four-foot drops onto concrete at zero degrees F with it 3/4 full of frozen ice at a temperature of zero degrees. It comes with a harness system that can lock the lid down and is sturdy enough to strap on a pack or sled.
