- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N62786-05-T-0022 applies. Quotes must be received by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2005 to be considered. The RFQ, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-05 and DFARS Change Notice (DCN) 20050726. Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Bath, Maine (SOSB) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 13.302 to Rolls Royce Naval Marine, Inc., 110 Norfolk Street, Walpole, MA 02081 for the following item(s): Item 0001: Blade Bolt Assembly, Inconel; P/N: 115635075, Qty: 80 each. Delivery for this material is to be made FOB Destination to ACE Warehouse! , Bisson Moving & Storage, New Meadows Road, West Bath, ME 04530. Fax or e-mail proposals are authorized and shall be received no later than date and time for receipt of proposals at (207) 442-2476 or via e-mail at harmonjm@supship.navy.mil. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed acquisition is being processed utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures on an other than full and open competitive basis. It is anticipated that award will take place on or before 22 September 2005. Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received to t! he award date, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this combined synopsis/solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
