Description
THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The Department of Homeland Security/United States Coast Guard (USCG) has a requirement for Officer and Enlisted Combination Hats/Caps and Covers, Male and Female. It is a USCG Military uniform item and is worn on all occasions when the wearing of the Combination Cap and Cover is required or appropriate. The women’s combination hats and covers are to be manufactured in accordance with Military Specification Number MIL-H-24900A and the men’s combination hats and covers are to be manufactured in accordance with Military Specification Number MIL-C-24937A. The USCG intends to award one 5-year, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, firm-fixed price contract. Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Woodbine, New Jersey. In accordance with FAR Subpart 11.2, potential offerors will be given specific instructions in the solicitation on accessing the MILSPEC requirements for the DODISS website. The USCG may have a requirement for first article testing and approval after award. First articles will be required 90 days after award. Government approval, conditional approval or disapproval will be provided to the awardee no later than 21 days after submission of First Article Lot. It is anticipated that the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be released on this website in August 2004 for downloading to eligible businesses. No paper copies will be provided. Proposals will be due 30 days after release of the RFP. Firms shall not be reimbursed for any costs associated with proposals. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (23-JUL-2004).
