Description
A critical need exists to acquire Combat Engineer (CE) Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Add on Armor (AoA) Crew Protection Kits (CPK) for the following systems (minimum and maximum quantities will be provided at time of Request for Proposal (RFP) re lease) . Grader 130G 2.5 Cubic Yard Loader MW24C Scraper 621B VIB Roller CS563D HS Compactor 815F LRT 110 7.5 Ton Crane The systems listed above are used worldwide by U.S. soldiers, with a large number currently being operated in both Iraq and Afghanistan. They are extremely vulnerable as potential targets from small arms fire (7.62mm AP rounds) and improvised explosive de vices (IEDs). Acquisition Strategy: The Government intends to issue a RFP for one (1) five (5) year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the design, prototype build, test, production and delivery of a Level III Technical Data Package (TDP). The design, develop, build prototypes, provide test support, produce and install are on an accelerated schedule to meet the critical need for CE/MHE operator protection. Installation of the CE/MHE AoA CPKs in Iraq and Afghanistan, by the selected contractor, will be required. The selected contractor may be required to have access to classified data and shall be required to comply with the requirements of DOD 5220-22-M National Industrial Security Program. The Government will use source selection procedures to select the offeror whose proposal represents the Best Value to the Government. An offerors submission must be a complete stand-alone proposal addressing all of the RFP requirements. The Government re serves the right to award this contract without conducting discussions. An offeror proposal must be comprehensive, fully responsive to the information requested in the RFP and reflect the offerors best prices.
