Description
This is a Sources Sought announcement and is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, desires to identify Small businesses, Small-Disadvantaged, 8(a), Hub-zone certified businesses, Veteran-owned and Service-Disabled contractors capable of providing Architect-Engineer and Construction services in connection with a number of programs. The NAICS Codes and corresponding size standards are 541330 and 541310 ($4,000,000.00 size standard), 236220 and 237990 ($28,500,000.00  size standard). The estimated cost range for projects/programs included in this sources sought is $2.5 - $3 billion. These programs are part of the Army Transformation and Base Rea lignment and Closure 05 (BRAC) implementation as well as ongoing Military Construction-Army (MCA) Programs. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the respon ses to this announcement, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisitions, a solicitation announcement will be published in the Federal Business Opportunity for the respective projects. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. All inter ested offerors will have the opportunity to respond to the solicitation announcement at a later time. Work will consist, but not be limited to, major research, test and evaluation facilities, Defense Intelligence Centers, Administrative buildings, Medical facilities, Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection and Training Centers. Responses should include: (1) Identification of company as Small business, Small-Disadvantaged, 8(a), Hub-zone certified business, Veteran-owned and Service-Disabled, (2) Past performa nce information about five (5) completed projects of similar size and scope completed in the past five (5) years, (3) Proof of the capability of obtaining appropriate bonding capacity. This notice is to assist the Baltimore District, Corps of Engineers in determining potential sources only. This sources sought announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. All interested contractors should notify this office in writing by mail, email or fax by 4:30, Local Time, October 11, 2005.
