- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking to purchase two Orion Spectra II Semi-Automatic Stretch Wrapping Machines or equivalent. Proposed Stretch Wrap machines need to meet the following specifications: Each semi-automatic stretch wrapping machine will have a minimum production rate of 20 loads per hour. Maximum load size - 55 inch wide x 55 inch long x 90 inch high. Maximum load weight - 5000 lbs Electrical requirement - 115V/1/60 15A Structural Design - structural steel construction, and have a base that is forklift portable from both ends. Controller ? Allen Bradley MicroLogix 1000 PLC or equal. Control Panel - Power on/off switch; Start/stop push button; Large push/pull emergency stop button. Carriage Speed Adjustable Cycle Pause Feature Separate settings for Top and Bottom Wraps Auto-height sensing photo eye Manual carriage up/down function. Variable table speed ? 0 to 14 RPM Standard Stretch Ratio ? 260 percent The machines must be capable of wrapping loads using films supplied by Pinnacle Films, with various thicknesses from 0.0005 inch to 0.0011 inch. The film roll is 9.5 inch in diameter with a 3 inch diameter core. All proposals must include brochure, minimum floor space requirements, warranty information, and suggested spare parts kit. Machines will be purchased with Factory Authorized installation, and include assistance from Product Representative in set-up and training of employees on operation of the equipment. The Simple Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; a written request for quotation will not be issued. Delivery terms are FOB Destination to the Fort Worth, Texas facility. The resulting purchase order shall be firm fixed price. The award shall be made on the basis of best value. All interested parties are required to submit a written quotation for agency consideration. Quotations may be on an SF1449 or corporate letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ-05-0647, proposed unit prices, proposed extended prices, any prompt payment discount terms, company name with point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS number, and size status ( i.e. small business, small disadvantaged business, woman owned business, HUBZone, etc ) Quotations are due on September 8 2005 by 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Firms may fax their quotations to 202-874-2200 or e-mail their responses to Donald.Baron@Bep.Treas.gov. Quotations may also be mailed to the BEP Office of Procurement, Attn: Donald Baron, Room 705, 14?th and C Sts. SW, Washington DC 20228-0001. Telephone quotations will not be honored. All responsible sources may submit an offer upon receipt of the solicitation, which shall be considered by the agency.
