- Description
- This proposed procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). NAICS 325188; small business size standard 1,000 employees. Furnish approximately 1,250 tons o f Fluorosilicic Acid to Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant, Washington Aqueduct Division. The acid shall be certified as suitable for contact with or treatment of drinking water by an accredited certification organization in accordance with ANSI/NSF Standard 60 Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals Health Effects. The product shall be approved and in accordance with AWWA B703-00 specification. The acid shall contain maximum 1% hydrofluoric acid (HF); shall contain 23-25% fluorosilicic acid (H2SiF6); and shal l not contain more than 0.020% heavy metals expressed as lead. Contract is for a one year period from 1 October 2005 through 30 September 2006. The total estimated amount is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. All responsible sources may submit a quote w hich shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the internet only. This sol icitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors may view and/or download solicitation information from the Internet at http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. Contractors requests for this solicitation will be performed through ASFI. Contractors may register to be placed on the Bidders/Offerors mailing lists by going to the website: http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. In order to reduce the possibility of error and to increase the quality of our service to you, all deliveries, packages, etc. must include the name of t he particular contract specialist for the particular project. All deliveries, packages, etc. of more than one box or container must be bound together by tape or other means. In order to comply with Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. It is imperative that all small disadvantaged businesses contact their cognizant Small Business Administration Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification. Without SBA SDB certification, a prime contractor nor a federal agency can receive SDB credit when utilizing non-certified SDB contractors/ subcontractors.
