- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Jacksonville, Florida has a requirement for the lease of a heavy duty crane with operator. The crane must meet the following minimum requirements: 80-ton capacity, 142 foot main boom and a 56 foot jib. The operator will be needed 56 hours a week. Please see the Statement of Work for further information. The crane will be used at Naval Station Mayport, Florida for loading various items on ships. The lease will be for one year, with an option for another year if needed. The period of performance will be from 01 October 2005 through 30 September 2006. The price shall include all costs for transportation, maintenance and the operator. The equipment shall be delivered to Naval Station Mayport, Florida. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Please note that there are separate documents that need to be downloaded from the FedBizOpps website with this notice including the Statement of Work and some instructions. There is also a local NAVSUP clause that is part of this solicitation, which you will find in full text as part of the Statement of Work attachment. The solicitation number is N68836-05-T-0175 and is issued as a request for quote. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238990. The applicable size standard for this procurement is $12.0 million. This solicitation is set-aside for small business.
