Description
This solicitation is prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Item and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Regional Contracting Office, Marine Corps Base Hawaii intends on procuring a Firm-Fixed price contract for Sewage Lift Stations degreasing services, with a Base period of October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006, and four (4) 12-month option years thereafter. The work will cover 9 sewage lift stations located at various locations on Marine Corps Base Hawaii. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 562998 and the small business size standard for this procurement is $6.0M. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration database to be eligible for a Department of Defense contract award. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. An optional site visit is scheduled for September 08, 2005 at 0900 HST. P! lease meet at Bldg 209, Marine Corp Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. By electing not to attend the site visit, you assume the risk of, and agree to be bound by, whatever conditions exist at the site that would have been disclosed by a reasonable site investigation. In addition, the technical proposal may be downgraded due to errors or omissions caused by failure to attend the site visit. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible quoter whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate quotations: 1) Technical 2) Past performance 3) Price Options. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation ofoptions shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). Solicitations will be available on or around August 29, 2005. Award will be made based on Best Value Determination.
