- THE FOLLOWING SYNOPSIS IS BEING ISSUED TO RESTATE THE INFORMATION ORGINIALLY ISSUED UNDER SOLICITATION NNK05121975Q, WITH THE CORRECT NOMENCLATURE SPELLING: NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ)] for the following Commercial item: Vertrel MCA, an azeazeotrope of Vertrel XF HFC with trans-1, 2 dichlorethlene, to be used for cleaning Shuttle Flight and Ground Hardware. This requirement is a follow-on to Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract NNK04MA17B with Micro Care Corporation. NASA KSC intends to procure the required supply as a Single-Award Commercial IDIQ Contract for the issuance of Firm-Fixed-Price Task Orders, using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated period of performance is five-years, with a Guaranteed Minimum Quantity of thirty-five (35) Drums at 55 Gallons Each, and a Maximum Quantity of 155 Drums at 55 Gallons Each. The IDIQ Contract will include a five-year schedule outlining the annual fixed unit price of a 55-Gallon Drum of Vertrel MCA, for each year of the five-year performance period. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 424690- Other Chemical and Allied Products Merchant Wholesale, 500 Employees respectively. The anticipated release date of RFQ NNK05121975Q is on or about Ocotber 3, 2005 with an anticipated due date of on or about October 17, 2005. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
