- Description
- The Moncrief Army Community Hospital, Fort Jackson, South Carolina has a requirement for Pediatric Speech Therapist. The contractor shall provide speech-language services for the military treatment facility (MTF) at Moncrief Army Community Hospital (MACH), Fort Jackson, South Carolina. This is a personal services contract and is intended to create an employer-employee relationship between the Government and the individual Health Care Provider (HCP). The performance of the individual HCP under th is contract is subject to day-to-day supervision, clinical oversight and control by healthcare facility personnel comparable to that exercised over military and civil service HCPs engaged in comparable work. The contractor providing services shall be supe rvised by the Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) Program Manager or a designated representative in his/her absence. The pediatric speech-language pathologist performing services under this contract shall the following qualificati ons: (1) have and maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support Pediatric (BCLS); (2) have two years of general clinical experience with an emphasis in pediatric speech-language therapy (3) be a standing member of the American Speech-Lang uage Hearing Association and provide copy of the membership card with the membership number included. The contractor must keep membership current throughout the length of this contact. (4) have a valid license to practice speech-language therapy with you ng children. This license does not have to be from the state in which physical therapy is practiced under this contract. The license must be one granted by the recognized licensing agency of a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Ric o or the U.S. Virgin Islands (Licenser requirement is in accordance with AR 40-66, Section V Professional Licenser. Services will be required on an as needed basis. The period of performance for this requirement is from 01 October 2005 through 30 Septem ber 2006 and for four 1-year option periods. The funding of this requirement is subject to the availability of funds and is contingent upon Congress enacting Fiscal Year 06 Appropriation.
