Description

This amendment is to answer three (3) questions provided by potential vendors: 1. We sell Photometrics cameras. If we quote on the exact model you are requesting, can we be considered? Any firm that believes it is capable of providing the required product as stated herein may submit a capability statement and a quotation to document its ability to provide it will be considered. 2. Can I send you a quotation in Adobe Acrobat PDF format? Yes. Please send it to Apagan@oc.fda.gov. 3. This camera is offered with 3 different grade sensors which greatly effect the price. Photometrics Quantix 6303 Digital Camera System has a 40 mm f/o 1:1 taper coupled directly to the CCD extending 0.25” outside the vacuum, FO faceplate with Csl phosphor coating (BE window cover), 3072 X 2048 pixel scientific grade 2 Kodak 6303E CCD with 9 X 9 micron pixels, Thermoelectically water cooled camera head, 12-bit pixel data at 5 Million pixels/second. Also, includes a full camera test report, HCK for Quantix includes AIA/PCI board, 10 foot cable CD-ROM with PVCAM, RS image and PPK’s for Window and a WinView/32 (Real-time acquisition) that includes a display, and data processing software for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP. The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole source basis to Roper Scientific, 3660 Quakerbridge, Trenton, NJ 08619 for the acquisition of a Photometrics Quantix 6303E Camera to be utilized for the validation of our imaging system simulations. The Photometrics Quantix 6303E is the only product that meets our specifications. It is a fast, high-resolution digital camera system designed for low-light scientific and industrial applications. This cooled CCD camera system provides 12-bit digitization at 5 MHz. The pitch of the pixels, 9 x 9 microns, provides fine detail within the image. The large format size allows wide field-of-view imaging to be performed at high resolution. The CCD uses indium tin oxide (ITO) technology to raise quantum efficiency, particularly in the blue/green. Some of the features of the Photometrics Quantix 6303E Camera are: 1. 5-MHz digitization, 1.4 seconds to read out full frame 2. 3072 x 2048 imaging array, 9 x 9-µm pixels 3. Scientific-grade CCD 4. Single-window imaging path 5. Compact camera head 6. Three detection modes 7. Flexible binning and readout 8. 12-bit digitization 9. Thermoelectric cooling 10. F-mount with shutter 11. PCI or SCSI interface 12. Detailed calibration report An award will be made in ten (10) days from the date of this notice. This is not a request for quotes; however, sources may submit descriptive literature, which fully demonstrates their capabilities, which will be considered by the agency. This sole source procurement is being awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5.
