Description
THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY AND NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) DOCUMENT. PROPOSALS AND QUOTES ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED NOR ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME. The USCG ARSC has a requirement to harvest the Center Wing Box (CWB) from a decommissioned HC-130 aircraft for future refurbishment. Contractor may be asked to provide a written outline for detailed center wing (CW) removal procedure. Project to include: supporting and stabilizing airframe with USCG supplied ground support equipment; disconnecting related CW to fuselage structure and systems to include but not limited to; CW trailing edges, uncouple or disconnect flight control rigging and electrical wiring, disconnect cap or plug hydraulic, fuel, and pneumatic lines, tubes, and hoses. Strategically cut or remove fasteners attaching CW to fuselage and lift CW from airframe. Upon separation of CW from fuselage, contractor will remove remainder of secondary CW structure and preserve and package the CWB for shipment. USCG will retain all rights to the remainder of the airframe and its components. Removal of a Center Wing Box (CWB) and possibly additional fuselage structures from a HC-130 airframe. The contractor must have access to all manufacturer?s (or United States Air Force) maintenance, repair and overhaul manuals and data to ensure work is completed in accordance with the manufacturer?s specifications or applicable technical order. The contractor shall provide special tooling and the expertise required to expertly remove complex HC-130 structures; preserving and packaging them for future USCG use. The information contained in this section is not intended to be all-inclusive nor to detract from the procedures outlined in the OEM specifications or technical orders except where specifically noted herein. The technical manuals referenced above are the basic directives used to assist in the completion of this effort. FAR PART 12 AND 13 WILL APPLY.
