Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate, Hubzone; 8(a); and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) contractors for this proposed contract. The proposed contract will be a two-phase design and construc t an Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC) building of approximately 44,730 SF, a combined Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS) / Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) building of approximately 3,560 SF, and an Unheated Storage (UHS) building of approxim ately 1,220 SF. The AFRC and OMS/AMSA buildings will be permanent construction with reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, and structural steel frames, masonry veneer walls, standing-seam metal roofs with complete mechanical, electrical an d building information systems. The UHS building will be a pre-engineered steel structure with metal panel wall and roof construction. Site work will include grading, paving, walks, curbs, gutters, drives, exterior lighting, bi-level loading ramp, landsca ping, and extension of utilities to serve the project on an approximately 11-acre government owned site. Physical Security measures are to be incorporated into the design of the building and site. The project is planned for advertisement in September 2006 . All interested small businesses should reply to this office in writing by mail NLT 13 September 2005, 4:30 pm (local time). Telephonic responses will not be honored. Response should include: (1) Identification and verification of company's Small Busine ss status, (2) Past Experience- Describe completed projects that are similar in size, scope to the proposed project, the percentage of self performed work and how it was accomplished (3) capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for the project in the dollar amount listed above, and (4) a statement verifying the contractor will perform 20% of the work and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: if qualified small business firms do not respond, this planned contract action will be converted to full and open competition.
