Description

The National Park Service anticipates issuing a Prospectus for marina operations at Curecanti National Recreation Area, Colorado. On Tuesday, September 20, 2005, the National Park Service will conduct a site visit of concession facilities at Elk Creek and Lake Fork Marinas. The site visit will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Curecanti National Recreation Area Headquarters Office at Elk Creek located 16 miles west of Gunnison, Colorado on Highway 50. Interested parties must R.S.V.P. by Monday, September 19, 2005. The site visit is not required to submit a proposal for the Prospectus, but attendance is encouraged. The restaurant will be closed in early September and the marinas will be disassembled for winter storage by the first of October. No questions specific to the Prospectus will be entertained during the site visit. Questions specific to the Prospectus will be answered after the Prospectus is issued. The site visit will view existing concession facilities and address questions about the existing Concession Contract. Interested parties must R.S.V.P. by September 19, 2005, for the site visit, to Kathleen Gonder, Administrative Officer, Curecanti National Recreation Area, at (970) 641-2337, extension 229, kathleen_gonder@nps.gov. The marinas generally operate from early May to early October. The annual gross receipts for this Concession Contract averaged $793,227 from 2000 to 2004.
