Description
This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil/While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. This procurement is for a minimum quantity of 4,780 BX, maximum quantity of 27,084 BX of 5.56MM Frangible Ammunition, linked, manufactured in accordance with the NSWC Crane Statement of Work, Ordnance Engineering Marine Corps. (OEMC) Specification 00025, and applicable drawings. Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration database and must be certified under the Joint Certification Program in order to receive the technical package. Military packaging required, 200 linked rounds per bandoleer-covered magazine assembly, 4 magazine assemblies per PA108 wirebound box (1,600 rounds per box). A quantity of 2,000 test sample cartridges will be required at solicitation closing for Government testing. Award of a firm-fixed price, IDIQ contract is anticipated. Delivery of the minimum quantity is required to begin within 90 days after contract award, at a minimum rate of 625 BX (1,000,000 rounds) per month, and shall be FOB destination, NAVSURFWARCENDIVCrane, IN or Tooele Army Depot, Tooele, UT. Inspection and acceptance will be at source. Selection for award will be based on technical, past performance and price related factors. A safety survey will be required prior to award of the contract to ensure contractors comply with the requirements of DFARS 252.223-7002 and 252.223-7003. To be eligible for award, contractors must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet @ www.ccr.gov. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
