- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate, intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with the Alliance for Homeland Security, 3280 Progress Drive, Orlando, Florida 32826 for support of the Interagency Center for Applied Homeland Security Technology (ICAHST), specially in the areas of visual analytics and modeling and simulation, operational intelligence assessments and related technology. The objective is to assist the ICAHST in the early identification and rapid exploitation of critical emerging technologies and capabilities, and evaluation of specified homeland security applications as well as facilitation of access to appropriate dual use technologies between military and civilian applications. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Respond no later than September 15, 2005.
