Description

This contract contains construction of one (1) ditch plug, three (3) earthen Dikes, three (3) water control structures, and four (4) rock fords to restore wetlands in Barnwell and Bamberg County, South Carolina. Major items of work include: approx. 1.9 acres of clearing and grubbing; approx. 2.8 acres of seeding, sprigging and mulching for temporary cover; approx. 1,499 cu yds of excavation; approx. 7,862 cu yds. of earth fill for compaction; approx. 120 tons of rock fill for fords; and furnishing and installing three (3) risers: one (1) 18 inch riser with a 12 inch barrel pipe; and two (2) 24 inch risers, one with an 18 inch barrel pipe and the other with a 12 inch barrel pipe. The performance time is 52 calendar days (including mobilization). The estimated price is in the range of $25,000 to $100,000. This solicitation is subject to full and open competition. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. This solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from website, www.fedbizzops.gov, on or about September 16, 2005. Interested parties are invited to attend a site showing on Thursday, September 22, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. at the Barnwell County Field Office, 100 Fuldner Road, Barnwell, South Carolina. After a brief meeting, a tour of the site will be held.
