- Description
- The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS), Perry Point, MD, has a general construction project to construct a sludge collection basin. The work includes general construction, alterations, roads, walks, grading, drainage, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, sludge retention facilities, necessary removal of existing portions of structures and construction and certain other items. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 236220 and a size standard of $28.5 million are applicable to the contemplated acquisition. The magnitude of the construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Davis Bacon Wage Rates will apply. Specifications and drawings are available on a CD only. No hard copy solicitation will be available. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to print a hard copy. The solicitation and resultant contract award is subject to the availability of current fiscal year funding. Bidding materials will be made available o/a August 31, 2005. Solicitation will be issued on a CD-ROM on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted. This acquisition is set aside exclusively for competition among Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, pursuant to the authority contained in Public Law 108-183, the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003. Offers from other than SDVOB concerns will not be considered. Bid Opening Date: September 23, 2005 at 10:00 am, EST.
