- Description
- The US Army Communications Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (C-E LCMC) Acquisition Center Washington intends to solicit and negotiate with Development Technology Workshop, Ltd under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source , for the purchase of one (1) each unmodified rotavators, and two (2) each modified rotavators. The modified rotavators must meet the following requirements: 1) Armor will be added to provide indigeneous operators with some protection from inadvertent an tipersonnel landmine blasts, but not antitank or bounding fragmentation mines. This armor shall not interfere with the use of the system for cultivating. 2) For additional protection, a V hulled pull behind cart shall be provided for the operator to rid e in while cultivating. The contractor shall provide drawings and specifications for the modifications, in English, upon delivery of these systems. The contractor shall submit monthly reports, in his own format, detailing the progress of the modification s. The contractor shall ship one (1) unmodified rotavator and one (1) modified rotavator to Fort Belvoir, VA. The contractor shall deliver one (1) modified rotavator to Nongyakaeo, Thailand. The result of this effort will be a protection package that ca n be easily added to this type of equipment for the purpose of reducing casualties from inadvertent landmine encounters. The period of performance is 6 months from date of award. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of public ation of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will norma lly be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration in accordance with FAR 52.204-7 and DFARS 252.204-7004. Please submit white pape rs for this effort. Responses should be no longer than 10 pages. In addition, responses shall include a complete set of Certifications and Representations as set forth in FAR 52.212-3. A copy of this clause may be downloaded from http://www.arnet.gov/far/. These Certifications and Representations shall not be included in the total page count.
