- This amendment is issued to close the question period and to provide answers to questions provided. The following questions have been submitted to the FLETC with regard to Solicitation 05FAD0060. As such, the questions and responses are being provided to all prospective Offerors. 1. Question: Do you require steel or brass casings? Answer: Brass 2. Question: Is the desired ammunition to be FMJ or Soft Point? Answer: FMJ 3. Question: I am wondering if the end user or technical representative would be willing to accept 122 grain or 154 grain? Answer: As requested, we need 124 grain. 4. Question: Would you please specify whether this ammo is supposed to be Hollow point, FMJ, or Soft point? Answer: FMJ 5. Question: Can we submit the 125 grain weight cartridge? Answer: We need 124 grain. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Glynco, GA, intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for 100,000 rounds of 7.62X39mm 124 grain Soviet Ammunition for delivery to Brunswick GA 31524 on or before 30 days after award. The reference number for this announcement is 05FAD0060. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested and a written request for quotation will not be issued. This requirement is unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code of 332993.
