Description
SUBJECT: VHX-100 DIGITAL MICROSCOPE. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED. Responses shall reference Request for Quotations No. DE-RQ26-05NT500843 the U.S. Department of Energy, National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA intends to purchase the following items: 1. VHX-100 Digital Microscope ??? 1 ea. 2. VHS10 Microscope stand ??? 1 ea. 3. VH-K25 Illumination Adapter ??? 1 ea. 4. OP-35416 Coaxial Illumination Adapter ??? 1 ea. 5. OP-35415 Polarization Illumination Adapter ??? 1 ea. 6. VH-Z500 500x ??? 5000x Lens ??? 1 ea. 7. OP-51480 Fiber Illumination Cable ??? 1 ea. 8. VH-S1 Stand ??? 1 ea. 9. VH-F Attachment for fiberoptic lens. 10. OP-35414 Non-contact diffusion adapter ??? 1 ea. 11. VH-Z25 25x ??? 750x Lens ??? 1 ea. 12. OP-42305 Super defused illumination adapter ??? 1 ea. 13. OP-94841 Fiber cable T ??? 1 ea. 14. OP-51482 VHX Fiber conversion adapter ??? 1 ea. 15. VHS11 Multistage assesory ??? 1 ea. 16. VH-F61 Fiberoptic attachment ??? 1 ea. 17. VH-Z100 100x ??? 1000x Lens ??? 1 ea. This is a unique portable microscope. The scope must meet the following specifications: Compact portable design (less than 15kg), Built-in CD-R/RW drive, Analog RGB video output, IU-45 (10 Base-T0 LAN capability, Keyboard port, Mouse port, Operating environment of 5 to 40 Degrees Centigrade, Interchangeable lenses, Fiber-optic borescope capability, Timer image function, Auto edge selection, Auto dimension calibration, USB 2.0 networking capability, Built-in LCD display, Horizontal split image capability, Vertical split image capability, Four-part split image capability, 18 million pixel color camera, 5000X magnification without the need for a vacuum chamber, Light shifting function, Edge deviation and magnification fluctuation algorithm correction, 3-D displation function, Depth from defocus image composition. DELIVERY: FOB Destination is required (all freight included). The provisions at 52.212-2 Evaluation ??? Commercial Items (JAN 1999) does not apply to this acquisition. Instead, the following information will be used for evaluation of offerors: An award shall be made to the responsible offeror submitting a technically acceptable quote and offering the lowest evaluated price. Evaluation is based on best value including cost and ability to meet stated requirements above. Offerors shall submit descriptive literature and drawings detailing features, technical capabilities and warranty data. Technical acceptability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted response to this provision as it compares to the minimum characteristics provided above. Therefore, it is essential that offerors provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc., in order for the Government evaluation team to make an adequate technical assessment of the quote as meeting technical acceptability. Price shall be the deciding factor among technically acceptable quotes. The North American Industry Classification (NIAC) is 454390. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL SUBMIT OFFERS WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Federal Tax Identification (TIN); Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS); and remit to address if different. A Firm Fixed Priced Purchase Order shall be issued using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 13. Responses/offers are due no later than 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time Zone on September 20, 2005.
