Dr.John Butman has expertise in many of these a reas, and requires a research assistant to help implement th ese research tools. These processing tools support research performed under protocols 98-cc-0019 Normal Volunteer Scanni ng on MRI 87-cc-0091 Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging/Spec troscopy at 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla. ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS AND REPRESENTATIONS: Sole source for Primus Global Services the research assitant has been providing research support during this fiscal year . In this role the researcher has used many software package s for processing MRI data for clinical and research purposes including IDL,MEDx,MIPAV,AFNI and freesurter. In addition t he rdearch assistant is familiar with the computer systems u sed for handling the large volumes of data. Replacing the r esearch assistant would require a significant period of trai ning on the order of six months or more to become familiar w ith these software packages and the work environment and nee ds.
