- This solicitation is amended as follows in response to questions from potential vendors. Question 1. I was looking at the New Laundry contract [solicitation] and saw that you didn't show that Sheets of any size, Pillowcases or Tablecloths needed to be Ironed. You just show they are to be WDF. I would like to know if this was an over sight or if Ironing of this items is not required any longer? Answer 1. Yes we would like to have the sheets ironed. Include ironing of sheets, pillowcases, and tableclothes in all offers. Question 2. The sleeping bags washing instructions say Do Not Dry Clean, you are requesting that they be D/C. Is the Government willing to sign a release for this? Answer 2. Yes, we will get a waiver for this. Question 3. On the curtains I would also like a release for some times they fall apart when you clean them because of Sun Rot which does not show up till cleaned. Answer 3. Yes, we will sign a release on this item as well as have linen exchange personnel inspect items prior to laundry service pick up. Question 4. CLIN 1002AP Hot Pads: Which ones are these the White or the Blue ones? And Why do you want them D/C? Answer 4. These are the white ones. We ask that they be D/C to remove the stains and increase the longevity of the item Question 5. CLIN 1002AN Aprons: Why are these to be D/C? Answer 5. Again for better removal of stains and increase longevity of the product Question 6. CLIN 1002AR Gloves: What are these made of? Answer 6. They are made of a wool cotton blend Question 7. CLIN 1002AU Banners, Buntings: Are these the long Blue TableSkirts? If so why are they to be D/C? Answer 7. These should be the table skirts. For better removal of stains and increase longevity of the product Question 8. Which Bedspreads are for Lodging and which ones are for missile site? Answer 8. CLIN 0001AB belong to missile sites and CLIN 0001BE belong to lodging Question 9. What size Comforters are 2001BH and are they missile site or lodging? Answer 9. These are king size and belong to lodging. Question10. What does the cleaning lable for 2002AH Gortex Pant Bear Insert say? Answer 10. Do not dry clean. Question 11. What is an 2002AS A-Bag? Answer 11. It is a bag that is used to carry winter and chemical protection gear. Question 12. SOW 2.2 Delivery: Can the Government guarantee a 100% correct count of all items? Answer 12. Yes, we are currently required to do a double count to ensure that the proper amounts of linen turned in and documented. Question 13. SOW 2.2 Delivery: Is 1% on a Daily or monthly [basis]? Answer 13. Daily. Question 14. SOW 2.2 Delivery: Some of the items that we receive are already damaged beyond repair or have stains that will not come out. How would you like to handle this? Answer 14. Items shall be inspected and documented on pick up/receipt as damaged or stained. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
