- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, FA4801-05-Q-0171, is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-02. The solicitation listed here is 100% small business set aside. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 3990 . The associated Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3999. The North American Industry Classification System is 333999 and the associated business size standard is 500 employees. This request for quotation consists of the following: Item 0001: 7 ea BOSS-8 FOD BOSS package. Item 0002: 7 ea M-60 60? Power Bar. Item 0003: 7 ea Set of chain link vehicle mounting hardware for 60? Power Bar. Quotes should include a shipping estimate. In order to achieve the needed program performance the following minimum specifications are required: 1. Method of Operation ? Will be completely self contained and will operate using ?friction sweeping? method. Will not have any moving parts, internal or external power sources, engine or drive components. Towing vehicle will activate unit operation. 2. Sweeping Width ? No less than 8 feet. 3. Overall Dimensions ? (in operational mode) 8?X5?X2? 4. Portable ? Unit weight will not exceed 80 lbs. Unit will be collectible, and have carry/transport bag for immediate deployment on site, or for air or truck shipment to other locations. Will be able to be hand-carried to operations location, set up and operated by 1 person. 5. Performance ? Equipment will be capable of sweeping 1 million square feet per hour of operation. 6. Sweeping Speed Range ? Minimum five miles per hour, with maximum operating speed of no less than 25 miles per hour. 7. Operations Manual ? Will have operating instructions and maintenance manual, and warranty information. If quoting OR EQUAL provide specifications otherwise your quote could be considered unresponsive. FOB: Destination for delivery to: HQ AFFSA, Bldg 1535, Andrews AFB, MD 20762. Required delivery date: 30 Sep 2005. The following provisions and or clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration FAR 52.209-6 Protecting the Governments Interest When Subcontracting with Contractors Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment. The Government will award a firm-fixed price contract resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the synopsis/solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. Award shall be based on a lowest overall price technically acceptable to the Government.
