- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a solicitation under full and open competition to procure Distinctive Currency Paper for the printing of U.S. currency at its Washington, D.C. and Fort Worth, TX facilities. The solicitation will provide for multiple awards. The resulting contract(s) will be fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity multiyear contracts. The anticipated period of performance is October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2012. The solicitation will provide various award scenarios, some which provide for a 24 month for start-up time. Material samples will be required with the submission of a proposal. Perspective offerors are advised that Public Law 100-440, Title VI 617 (a) requires that a contract for the manufacture of distinctive paper for United States (U.S.) currency may not be awarded to any corporation or entity owned or controlled by persons who are not citizens of the U.S., nor may distinctive paper for U.S. currency be manufactured outside of the U.S. For purposes of award of a contract, a corporation or other entity is presumed to be owned or controlled by citizens of the U.S. when domestic ownership or control constitutes at least 90%. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or before September 8, 2005. A ninety (90) day solicitation response time is planned. Contract award is planned for October 1, 2006.
