Description
NAICS Code: 514199 The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency EPA, National Exposure Research Laboratory/Human Exposure & Atmospheric Sciences Division (HEASD), Exposure & Dose Research Branch (EDRB), Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking qualified small business concerns, (preferably SDVBs) under GSA Schedule 70 for model development (IT support services). Under the resulting task order, the contractor shall develop a generic computer graphical-user-interface (GUI) augmented with an uncertainty analysis module. The contractor shall write and document computer code, develop and refine databases and post-processor modules for the analysis of model run results. The contractor shall conduct research to determine parameters for physiologically-based pharmacokinetic models and analyze data from existing and planned field studies for hypothesis testing through the models. Interested parties must demonstrate experience in the following key areas; (1) Extensive knowledge and experience with advanced GUI development using PowerBuilder, database development (using SQL Anywhere or ERWIN for example), FORTRAN Programming Language, and research publications. (2) Expertise in designing and creating statistical Front End modules including sensitivity and Monte Carlo analyses techniques, and in performing uncertainty analyses using SAS, MatLab, SPlus, R Language, and PC-ACSL/acslXtreme. (3) Experience in analyzing data collected from biomonitoring studies, activity pattern surveys and exposure surveys. (4) Experience in and an in-depth understanding of physiologically-based pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PBPK/PD) modeling. (5) Experience in determining biological and physicochemical parameter values from quantitative structure activity relationships.
