- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance & Logistics Command, Pacific (vpl) is seeking qualified Total Small Business Set-aside contractors to performing the Dry-docking and repairs for the USCGC EDISTO (WPB 1313), 110 patrol boat, home moorage in San Diego, CA. This procurement will be performed at the contractor’s facility. The cutter is geographically restricted to the United States West Coast San Francisco Bay area and Southern California areas. The performance period starting 26 October 2005 and ends 13 December 2005. The solicitation and specifications will be issued on about the 11 June 2005. The work items include but not limited to: haul plating renewal, hull plating, underwater body inspect, underwater body ultrasonic testing, appendages (underwater) leak test, appendages (underwater) preserve, internal, voids (non-accessible) leak test, voids (non-accessible) preserve, internal, tanks (mp fuel service) clean and inspect, tanks (mp fuel stowage and overflow) clean and inspect, tanks (potable water) clean and inspect, tanks (dirty& waste oil) clean and inspect, fuel oil tank access modification, port and starboard propulsion shaft removal and reinstallation, propulsion shaft bearings (external) check clearances, propeller clean/inspect, fathometer transducers general maintenance, pressure gauges and thermometers (critical) calibration, goose neck modification, sea strainers (all sizes) & waster pieces, sea valve renewal, sea valve (>2.5 inches) overhaul, steering gear hydraulic system general maintenance, rudder and rudder stock removal and reinstallation, rudders inspect and repair, fin stabilizers (general) maintenance, and grey water piping renewal.
